Navigation Information Collected

From all users of the ELD we collect the standard information used to maintain server access logs. This includes click-stream data and
HTTP protocol elements, which are used for the following purposes:

  • Completion and support of the current browser activity
  • Web site and system administration
  • Research and development

We use cookies only to store visitor preferences and to maintain state and account information for contributors who log in. Cookie information is discarded when the visitor leaves the Web site.

This data is used only by ourselves and our agents.

Personal Information Collected

From authors and publishers who are listed in the ELD, we collect information that they voluntarily enter into their Directory listings. This includes name, contact information, biographical information, and information about their published work. All contributors have the option to edit or suppress any information contained in their listings. This information is made available to all visitors to our Web site. We do not plan to restrict public access to the information in ELD listings or to sell this information. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise distribute mailing lists based on ELD listings. We will occasionally use the contact information we collect to contact ELD contributors to verify information in their listings or request additional data.
