Founded by Edward Falco with help from Len Hatfield in 1996, The New River Journal publishes digital writing and art. Since 2006, it has been hosted by Virginia Tech's Center for Digital Discourse and Culture; previous issues are available in archive form on the site. It is edited by Falco with help from a shifting cast of managing editors on individual issues.
